Allan Silva

About

Allan Silva is a fresh up and coming artist packed full of soul. He grew up in Brazil and moved to the UK when he was 14. His Brazilian roots give Bossa-Nova, Funk and rhythmic feel to his music whilst his English upbringing help to give a catchy rock edge.

Allan describes music as a coping mechanism, outlet for thoughts, processing. Allan’s music is deeply honest; he believes that one of the most powerful forms of inspiration is the feeling of relating to someone or something. That is why he shares his music. Allan hopes that people can relate to his songs in the same way he relates to and is inspired by the music he listens to.

While studying at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) he was the lead singer and songwriter for the band Eden. They performed at various venues around the UK as well as releasing an EP entitled ‘Temporary Home’, which featured on ‘Premier Radio Unsigned’.

Since Eden, Allan has been on a personal journey finding his sound as a solo artist. For the last 5 years he has been writing and working on new material. His debut solo EP ‘UNHIDDEN’ is to be released in November 2017 so watch this space!
