Archie XN TricK has played instruments from a young age starting out on guitar and flute, gaining classical and folk influences early on. Excelling in music and solo competitions he is a unique performer. His individual style has gained interest, not long winning him the title 'Most Original Song' at the O2, indigo at the UK Open Mic Competition, competing against 9000 contestants, being described as 'The only rapper with a flute'. On the festival circuit he played impromptu spontaneous gigs on acoustic stages gaining experience infront of audiences and getting to know crowds. Festivals including the likes of secret garden party and sunrise festival, throwing into the mix flute, beatbox and rapping with the help of loop stations. He experimented with different genres, playing many gigs in pubs, clubs and weddings as a duo over the last few years before recently pursing his solo career under the name Archie 'XN TricK' a mix of his real name and early stage name. He was influenced by rap, hiphop and grime from the UK and America so his style is a reflection of his passion for words and lyrical wordplay. Recent songs show a singer songwriter with raw lyrics, rapping and singing alike compliment the Urban/Folky sound. A storyteller with elements of humour, intensity and simplicity. His ability to play a few instruments such as flute, sax and guitar are utilised to bring a vibrant organic sound within his song production. His first Single 'My Darling' is an upbeat feel good track with a certain nostalgia. It has had recent Pre-release exposure with FM radio airplay, including an interview and live performances. Recent work consolidates all his influences from previous efforts and he is looking to release an EP soon.
