Cat Petrucci

About

Cat’s love for music goes back to when she was just a toddler standing up on restaurant stools to perform for whoever was in the room.
Everywhere she would go, there was always a song being hummed or muttered under her breath. Brought up on bands like Queen, Simon & Garfunkel and Fleetwood Mac, it was only natural that she would fall in love with songs and words.
Stevie Nicks quickly emerged as a main inspiration during her teenage years and songwriting became an escape.
Working with numerous producers back home in Lisbon (Portugal), Cat started developing her own skills and identity as an artist.
Many were the opportunities but when changing her music and who she was as an artist was the main clause on an offered record deal, she passed.
Her music grew and changed over the years and the search for newer musical experiences and opportunities to hone her craft lead her to London, where she has just finished a BMus on Music Performance.
It was in London that she found her way back to her first love: the song, the words, and the stories. It was also in London that she found herself going back to a genre that, although sometimes disguised, had always been there while growing up: country.
This is her home and where her songs thrive. The main focus is on the words and the stories told. This is proven by her debut EP Out There, where each song takes us on an honest and sometimes autobiographical journey.
She is now taking these songs and her band on the road, hoping to take country/pop to the next level in the UK.
