Overview
Lejon are an electro-pop duo from West London, formed of keyboard player/vocalist Laurence Jepson and drummer/programmer Charlie Dale. Described as a blend of Bastille and Prince, their sound takes the best of modern chart topping pop and 80’s synth throwback to produce a uniquely familiar sound.

Live
Despite only being active for just over three years, Lejon have flexed and honed their excellent live show at venues all across London such as: The Red Rooms, The Underbelly and Upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s amount other London band haunts. They also joined forces during Pride 2016 with singer and DJ Christina Novelli on the Trafalgar Square Main Stage. Amsterdam Dance Event 2016 saw Lejon invited to perform at the legendary Melkweg, alongside acts such as Jan Blomqvist and Pablo Nouvelle.

The duo also created their own electro pop live night: Jünobaby, at The Alleycat, Denmark Street. This night developed from a quiet showcase platform for up and coming electro/pop artists to attracting some real heavy hitters such as Jamie Woon, Chagal and GiRLI. Jünobaby also evolved into a live performance and improvisation space where musicians of all levels could get involved in the electro fun! Sadly, due to Crossrail works, Jünobaby was put on hold but will be back in 2019!

Lejon have already signed three singles to The Bearded Man (Armada): Eyes Wide Shut, If, and Dusk Till Dawn. All three featured on The Armada Playlist, with Dusk till Dawn being featured on Armada’s US Chill 2017 Compilation release as well as Armin Van Burren’s Playlist ‘A State Of Sundays’. ‘If’ was also featured on Martin Garrix’s podcast The Martin Garrix Show #143.
To date, Eyes Wide Shut and Dusk till Dawn have over 400,000 plays on Spotify, and continue to climb from week to week.

October 2017 saw the release of Lejon’s re-mix of “My Return Address is You feat. Shanika Knowles” with Adam Davenport (Universal). With the original version currently storming the US Billboard Dance Charts, Lejon’s remix is being nominated for the 2019 Grammy Awards for Best Remix. Watch this space!

Lejon have recently worked with Novation to demonstrate their new sequencer: Circuit. This was promoted on Novation’s YouTube channel, alongside Lejon performing one of their own tracks: Eyes Wide Shut.

In November 2017, Lejon joined AWAL as their official release partners for 2018. The first single, I Won’t Talk, came out on 30th March 2018 on all digital platforms.
