Passion Bel Canon

About

Passion Bel Canon, the unlikely alliance of an environmental manager, barista and jobbing actress, started life as a series of internet adverts looking for musical collaborators in 2013.

Since their online beginnings, the band have been merging their individual influences to create their own brand of atmospheric indie-pop. Combining soaring emotive vocals, dynamic guitar playing and a powerful upright drumming style, the London based trio create infectiously rhythmic songs with a dark edge. Using an array of synths and samples played alongside acoustic instruments including kalimba and ukulele, the band’s live and recorded performances have been likened to alternative pop artists Bat For Lashes and Daughter.

Releasing their debut single ‘Land of Hope’ with DTSE Music in 2014, Passion Bel Canon have received radio play on BBC 6Music’s The Tom Robinson show, notably supported Sony signed artist Owlle and Irish chart toppers HamsandwicH and played at Farm Festival, Nozstock and Lakefest. After a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015, their fan-funded debut EP ‘Lights’ recorded with Werkhouse was released in October 2016. Their upcoming EP ‘Circles’ will be out this Summer.
