Wide Eyed Boy met while studying at Liverpool's internationally renowned institute for performing arts, LIPA, in a city rich in music history and influence. They name The 1975, The Strokes, and Arctic Monkeys as some of the influences that contribute to their New Wave/Indie-pop sound. The 4 piece take their adopted home’s heritage seriously, from the internationalist culture of the city, to its inevitable musical lineage.

Formally named Whitecliff, Wide Eyed Boy have been tipped for big things. The band released two singles in 2016 which led to supporting 'The Libertines' at Alexandra Palace on their UK tour and joining 'The Rifles' tour of Germany. With continued support and recognition from Radio X, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6, the band began working with new producer Rich Turvey, facilitating their new image as Wide Eyed Boy.

Wide Eyed Boy recently decamped from Liverpool to Budapest to write new songs for their debut EP due 2017. So far the band have released two singles from the upcoming EP, "Wolves" and "Loving You Is So Easy".

Wide Eyed Boy consists of Oliver Nagy (Vocals), Jonny Ball (Guitars), Kobi “Danger” Pham (Guitars) and Tom Taylor (Drums).

Catch Wide Eyed Boy at Old Queens Head on the 27th July for the London date of their UK tour.
