Born in Oxfordshire in 1994, Abi Farrell was raised on a female-driven musical intake ranging from Aretha Franklin to Eva Cassidy to Chaka Khan to No Doubt. Weaving together soulful vocals, explosive riffs and carefully crafted melodies, Abi delivers impactful pop and soul songs that won't leave your head.
Alongside her History degree at the University of Birmingham, Abi spent her evenings performing on the city's rich live circuit before moving to London in 2017 to focus on a career in music. Since then, Abi has graced stages at London's prestigious Jazz Cafe and Camden Assembly, establishing a powerhouse band to bring her songs to life.
Today, she is an independent force launching herself into central London shows, with a talented collective of musicians. Abi's debut single, a soaring, cinematic piano arrangement of her song 'Ivy', was released on August 10th 2018 and has received its debut radio airplay from BBC Introducing in Oxford. Fans have compared Abi’s vocal range to Eva Cassidy: ‘Ivy’ is sure to put Abi on the map as an artist to watch for the remainder of the year and into 2019.
In 2017, Abi performed at London's prestigious Jazz Café and Camden Assembly. The future for Abi brings the release of her debut EP in 2019 and a whole host of full-band shows to bring her memorable voice and songwriting to new audiences.
