About

Aleh is a Brazilian singer and composer from Rio de Janeiro who debuted in the mid-90s playing with his reggae band Bantus as the opening band at The Wailers’ show. Started composing songs for various Brazilian TV shows and contributed reviving the Banda Black Rio, a Brazilian funky musical group.
His popularity grew with the release of his next album MPBSOULSAMBAGROOVE (Nikita) and the single ‘Dona da Banca’, better known as the soundtrack of ‘A Diarista’, the famous Brazilian TV series.
In World Cup at South Africa, Aleh performed with the Banda Black Rio at the FIFA Fun Fest in Durban and Cape Town; Then he embarked upon his first European tour to publicize his second album Aleh + Samba (Biscoito Fino) including shows at the Brazil Music Week at Oxford’s University, the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, and the Brazil House exhibition at the Sommerset House.
In France, Aleh also performed at Studio de L’Ermitage, Belleviloise, Maison de L’Amerique Latine, at the Favela Chic Club and at Cité Universitaire in Paris.
In 2012 he was the special guest on first international tour of Banda Black Rio with shows at New morning (Paris), Amsterdan (Paradiso), Ronnie Scoot’s (London).
In 2015, he returned to Europe to show in Brazil day in Barcelona Festival.
In 2017 he moved to Europe to get his teeth into the launch of his new album ‘Baile de Máscaras’ and he performed at London Bridge Festival, Brazilica Liverpool Festival and the Brazilian Ambassy.
