The Half Light
The Half Light are a four piece indie band from London who released their latest record, Night On My Mind EP, in summer last year. Since forming in 2011, the band have also self-released Clapham EP (2012) and Moscow (2015). The Half Light’s music has featured on radio stations across the country, including BBC 6 Music, BBC London and Amazing Radio and the band were nominated for Best UK Act at the 2015 Pure M Awards. Tracks from the Night On My Mind EP have featured on Killing Moon (8th May – track of the day), Words for Music (8th May – track of the week) and Indie Buddie (Night On My Mind – ‘[a] blissfully melodic little gem’). The Half Light have performed at renowned venues and events within the capital and beyond, including Camden Barfly and Wakefield Festival 2018, and are noted for their energetic and uplifting sets. Influenced by the best of indie rock across the decades, the band’s twilight pop has drawn parallels with The Smiths, Interpol and REM. Night On My Mind EP, their most recent release, combines their trademark punchy pop melodies with rich layers of rhythm, synth and guitars.
