Bristol's The Hideaways are Danny Pugh (Vocals, Guitar), Tim Burden (Guitar, Synth), Sam Bendall-Weeks (Bass) and Jack Ford (Drums). Influenced by artists like Foals, Biffy Clyro and The National, they play innovative Alt-Rock built on ramped up riffs, head-pounding percussion and unbridled angst.
The Hideaways started in August 2017, born from Pugh, Bendall-Weeks and Ford's previous project Blitzkrieg City, the trio wishing to evolve their sound into something heavier and more experimental. The band released their debut single Wolves in December 2017 and the follow-up I'm Here, Storm dropped in February 2018 along with a music video starring Guillaume Rivaud (Poldark, Mordred). Both tracks were produced by Matt Glasbey (Editors, Marmozets, Future of the Left) at the iconic Monnow Valley Studios; the third and final track from these sessions will be released in Spring 2018.
Since their inception The Hideaways have brought their intense live show to Manchester's The Bread Shed and The Dublin Castle in Camden to name just a couple. This is alongside building a dedicated following in Bristol, most recently culminating in a triumphant headline gig at Hy-Brasil Music Club in front of a sold out 250 strong crowd.
