“SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN”
Humans came to be through chance encounters…
Formed in Melbourne, Australia after a fortuitous meeting between a Sicilian drummer/producer/tourist and an Australian busker/psychedelic/traveller in a Restaurant where he was playing…
Cue 2014 and, after a spell in foggy northern Italy, they finally alight in East London
where they acquire a superb English guitarist and a Funky bassist
They release a humble live recording (2015) called “All the fish”, and then
promptly disband again for visa issues.
They finally reunite in 2016 as a complex, shifting musical outfit, enthused by so many greater than them…
from Led Zep to Eric Satie, Muse to Alt J and via Daft Punk, Pink Floyd and The Doors all the way to Domenico Cotugno, Charles Aznavour and Hiatus Kaiyote and moreso ever in love with so much in between…
Auspiciously, they come back with a plan:
Find the space in-between ;)
Sublimate their idols!!!
(ever) work out,
After much soul searching, many a late night and even a few weird turns along the way ;)
they write, rehearse and gig to the point they are finally ready to give up the ghost of ever emulating their Gods and… finally, they decide to try something different: sound (merely) human…
sound like themselves!
And, low and behold,
that is how by far the best Human in Bloom sound-alike band ever came to be.
Psych-alt-rock-electro-folk-pop at it’s (sometimes) very best.
☺ Human(s) Manifesto ☺
“Humans draw influences from robots,
the noise of machines and the intensity of traffic flooded city streets.
They are emphatic about the accelerating, cyclical nature of humanity
and how the brain has streamlined from spirituality through to technology!
But troubled that most all the music that comes with it is just a synthetic excuse to feel better
about ourselves while we’re glued to our iphones and fackbooks
as we unimaginatively drift into the welcoming arms of
the Machine Mind…
The band has just self-released its first EP#ONE and is currently in the studio working on EP#TWO and debut album – due Spring/Summer 2018
