Born and raised in east London Feb 11th 1983, Leonn grew up in a musical family with his father, The Rev Bazil Meade (MBE) being the founder and leader of the infamous London Community Gospel Choir. Leonn began his musical career as a drummer and by the age of 17 was already touring professionally across Europe and Asia with some of the leading Gospel and Pop acts of the 2000’s. He released his debut single as a solo artist/singer in 2015 titled ‘Invisible Me’ which was a fresh twist on the Disco Funk sound. He calls this the NewFunkEra. His sound is a sweetening mix of the old Skool funk blended with his unique style and a new flavour swag. Think James Brown meets D’Angelo meets Anderson Paak. Sometimes behind the drum kit doubling up singing and playing and other times hyping up his audience from the front of the stage making sure his performance is seen, heard and felt.
