Lucy Mayhew

About

Raised in the Wirral on Aretha Franklin, Fleetwood Mac and a single Eagles cassette (played on repeat to drown out next door's TV), Lucy has been performing unique covers and writing her own material since 2014. Inspired by most genres, her influences include John Martyn, Amy Winehouse, The Cranberries, Laura Marling and KT Tunstall. These influences can be heard in her own acoustic blues/indie-folk songs, from poignant yet empowering lyrics to distinct chord progressions and memorable choruses. 2017 saw festival performances at Latitude, Folk on the Dock, Vangollen (on the same bill as Razorlight), Smoked and Uncut, Gorjys Secrets, The International Guitar Festival of Great Britain, Chester Live and many more around the UK. Since 2014, festival appearances have included Smithdown Road (headlined by Dave McCabe of The Zutons), Chester Gin and Vodka festival, West Kirby Live, New Brighton Seaside Festival, Liverpool International Music Festival, Off Cut Folk 'n Ale, Astral Coast, and Threshold. 2018 will see the release of a debut EP and more original music… 'Fall A Little Further' (brand new original) https://youtu.be/mxKYjfPr_hI 'Counterfeit' – https://youtu.be/YbpXGUFBTo0 'Restless Mind' – https://soundcloud.com/lucy-mayhew/restless-mind-original www.facebook.com/lucymayhewmusic www.youtube.com/channel/UCRyxC0GCbYd90vgaag8ecHw www.soundcloud.com/lucy-mayhew www.musicglue.com/lucymayhew
