A six piece groove outfit from the Southeast, comprising punk insensibility and world-influenced rhythms in an irreverent live experience.

Opus Kink were formed in Brighton in October 2017 and have since played numerous electrifying headline and support shows, including festival appearances at Bestival and Camp Bestival at the invitation of Rob da Bank, amongst others. Aiming to blend nuances of British punk and post-punk music with eclectic influence from around the world including jazz, soul, afrobeat, funk, ethio, cuban and more, the band ensure that every show is an event and that audiences are entranced from the first beat.

The band have just released their debut live EP 'Doin' It Myself', and have several DIY tracks and live sessions (courtesy of Distiller Records) on YouTube. Attracting comparison to Mildlife, The Blockheads, Talking Heads, The Specials and more, and with nods from figures as diverse as Matt Johnson (The The), Iggy Pop, Neil Young, Robert Smith, Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Tim Pope (film director) and Sarah Bolshi (Sunday Best Records), Opus Kink are emerging in force. A spirit of continual experimentation, and a desire to whip crowds into a frenzy, attest to much promise for the future.
