Patrick T Davies

About

Patrick T. Davies began writing politi-punk spoken word pieces at the beginning of 2017 with the sole intention of taking his message to the stage, whatever and wherever that may be. The proceeding months then manifested themselves in the form of a smorgasbord of a cappella live shows across Manchester, and beyond, gatecrashing everywhere from psych gigs to comedy open mics. Highlights have included an improvised electronic set with Fila Brazillia’s Steve Cobby as part of Hull’s City of Culture 2017 programme, and a support slot with hotly tipped rockers The Blinders at their sold out Deaf Institute show. The success of the Cobby collaboration and a desire to break away from the overly safe environment of the poetry world has led Davies to put together his first spoken word compilation backed by his own musical accompaniment. Patrick T. Davies is fed up of much of what he sees around him. From the chronic ailment that is the UK’s mass media, to the self-righteous attitudes of the gentrified bourgeoisie elite who erode culture by the day, he seeks the change that many seem to have given up on.
