Tropicalpurples is a downtempo/alternative London-based project created by songwriter/producer Pablo Escalante (born 1994 in Mexico City) in 2014, combining soothing vocals with electronic music elements and organic instrumentation.

After releasing two soulful bad quality demos in 2014 and 2015 via Soundcloud, Tropicalpurples released “Blooming”, a two-side single which consolidated his sound and style in late 2016.
Tropicalpurples then unveiled “Reverie” the first single from his EP “Empty Roads” in late 2017.

Still an independent artist he released Empty Roads – EP in early 2018.
Written, recorded and produced by him, Empty Roads focuses on the questions and struggles of finding oneself.

Two months after the release of his EP “Empty Roads”, Tropicalpurples announced his upcoming single “Remember Sammy Jankis”, to be recorded and mixed by Matt Mysko (James Blake, Frank Ocean) in The Front Room in Abbey Road Studios.

Tropicalpurple’s live show consists in an analog hardware-only live performance (NO Dj sets), performing electronic/downtempo without computers or pre-recorded samples on stage, but surrounded by synths and using his soothing voice to create atmospheres
