Yes We Can Be Friends

About

Northern Irish native John Kyle has lived in London for the last 2 years. Since graduating from University in Scotland he has continued to be heavily involved in the local music and arts scene. John has played extensively around the east of Scotland and the UK both with his own brand of blues, soul, and folk inflected alt indie, and with other artists and local music and arts projects.

Always looking for new opportunities and new ways to explore his music, he has supported both established and up and coming artists including The Airborne Toxic Event, Iain Archer, Martin Stephenson, Soren McLean, My Latest Novel and MoRo. He has also had pieces displayed in exhibitions in Dundee as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh Schools of Art and has scored a number films for local filmmakers.

Whilst it started as a solo adventure, one of the growing characteristics of John Kyle is the community influence in the writing recording and performing of all the music. Over 20 friends from all over the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland have so far been played a part, and that number is growing with a new EP currently being written.
