RISING is a platform that showcases the very best in new music, whilst raising vital funds for War Child UK. Created by London music promoters, Hot Vox, RISING has raised over £340,000 for War Child UK through gigs, showcases & live-streamed performances.
Now, RISING is evolving into a new, national fundraising competition, seeking out the best RISING talent and providing them with opportunities to push their career to the next level, all whilst raising awareness and vital funds for War Child UK.
RISING will see artists submit a live performance video filmed exclusively for War Child UK. Music fans will then be able to tune in from the comfort of their own homes whilst claiming creative rewards in return for their donations.
The Top 20 artists that raise the most money for War Child UK will have the opportunity to present their music to our expert panel of music industry professionals, which includes festival bookers, booking agents, producers, DJ’s, radio presenters and music journalists.
The panel is tasked with choosing our winner, who will receive a HUGE stack of prizes.
Who will be crowned the best in RISING talent?
21-year-old Ted Tarling is a London based Pop artist, singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Derbyshire, UK, his music and visuals reflect the duality of his rural and urban upbringing. With a playful and nostalgic sound similar to the likes of Sir Elton John and Alfie Templeman, Ted says he wants his music to ‘distract people from the everyday, smile, get up and dance’.
Since starting to perform at local venues from the age of 17, Ted has gone from strength to strength, collaborating with Austrian Producer Ninski on their track ‘Orbit’ which has amassed over 240,000 streams to date, alongside working with TIMEA on their celebrated summer anthem ‘Call me, Catch me’.
