Charmides // WATERFOOLS // The Memoirs // INDEA at Zigfrid Von Underbelly of Hoxton
Charmides are a 4 piece Rock and Roll band originating from Shepperton boasting energetic live performances, bouncing riffs and catchy choruses. Having only formed back in September 2017, Charmides have performed at a range of rock venues across London including Water Rats, Fiddler's Elbow, Dublin Castle and Camden Assembly. Having recently recorded their debut demos 'Bruised Knees and Don't Come Over (To Me)', this young and charismatic band will be looking to release their EP in the very near future.
WATERFOOLS are a three piece Alternative Rock band from Oxford made up of Wilf Cartwright (Vocals and Guitar), George Langford (Bass) and Jamie Langford (Drums). Formed in 2016, they are known for their heavy guitar riffs, thrashing drum beats and catchy choruses which have combined to define their sound, as well as their poetic lyrics that cryptically portray issues surrounding adolescence in the 21st century. Similar artists include Foo Fighters, Drenge, Ty Segall and King Nun. Following the release of their first EP “Wash”, they have supported such artists as Estrons, King Nun, Husky Loops, Francobollo, Superglu and Otherkin at a number of venues around Oxford and in London. WATERFOOLS followed up their first EP with the release of their new track ‘MATERIAL’ which was premiered by Punktastic and has received airplay from. Hoxton Radio, Amazing Radio and John Kennedys Radio X show. The guys are gearing up for their second EP release and further touring planned throughout Q4 of 2018 and throughout 2019.
Alt rock 5 piece THE MEMOIRS combine the anthemic melodies of Kings of Leon, the art rock stylings of British Sea Power and the atmospheric post-punk emotions of Interpol. "Wow! Huge sound. That's like standing in the face of a hurricane" said BBC Introducing about debut single 'Means to an End '. Follow up single 'Fear on the Rise' was described by American Pancake as "Post punk pushed through raw garage rock filters with the gritty edge on the vox a twisted blend of Jim Morrison & Julian Casablancas."
INDEA are a four piece band from North London with a unique indie rock sound, who have been tearing up the underground live scene across London for the past 3 years whilst building up a strong and dedicated following. Influenced by their multicultural background and classic sounds, they have wowed audiences with high energy performances mixing everything from the smiths to trap music in to their idea of rock.
