Who is ...? Where you’re from, how you met, how long have you been playing

Biloxxi are a 4 piece alternative band based in Surrey. Ollie (Vocals, Guitar), Alistair
(Guitar) and Finn (Drums) met at school and added Teri to play bass when they met
her at uni. The current line-up has been playing together for the past year, tightening
up their live shows and developing their sound.

Who came up with the band name and does it have a story or any meaning
behind it?

There’s no clear-cut reasoning behind it, but since the band’s start it became a name
that stuck and gathered meaning over time.

If you had to describe the band using just five words, what would they be?
Socially conscious bashfully indie snowflakes.

Who are your biggest influences musically?
Radiohead, Brockhampton, Queens of the Stone Age, Frank Ocean

What’s the band's biggest claim to fame so far?
Playing to a packed out Boileroom in Guildford and having oranges pelted at the
stage that were originally handed out by the band.

If you could go on tour with any current band or artist, who would it be and

Brockhampton because their live shows are a crazy mixture of sexually ambiguous
teens who hate the current government.

If you could put your dream team band together consisting of any musicians
from the past or present who would the band members be?

Brittany Howard (Lead Singer, Alabama Shakes), John Bonham (Drums, Led
Zeppelin), Flea (Bass, Red Hot Chili Peppers), Johnny Greenwood (Guitar/Synths,
Radiohead), Miles Davis (Trumpet/ Band Leader).

How would you describe your live show to someone who has never seen you
perform before?

A groovy, eclectic set list of authentic music; ranging from pretty songs to mean gut-
kickers. Be prepared to cry, laugh, mosh and fall in-love (okay, maybe not the last bit).

Do any of you have any pre-gig or post gig rituals? If so, what and why?
Usually a brisk, dark mug of Yorkshire’s greatest export (Tea; not coal) before we go
on to calm the nerves, focus the mind and stimulate the glands. Afterwards typically
consists of vomiting and/or a firm group handshake.

What would your ultimate rider be if you could have anything without being
accused of being a diva?

10 bananas, 7 half drunk Tesco’s own Bitter, 1 Llama and a 1st pressing of
Funkadelic’s ‘Maggot Brain’ on Vinyl.

This question is for all band members. If we were to browse your music library
what is the most embarrassing song we might find? Or who is your guilty
pleasure artist?

Everyone in the band: Dido- ‘White Flag’

Tell us one thing your fans would be really shocked or surprised to hear or
learn about the band?

We all secretly hate each other and only stay together for the sake of our two
teenaged gerbils; Joseph and Geoffrey (pictures available upon request).
If people want to check you out online where is the best place to go? is where it’s really going on. Additionally, we can be found at:

Finally, What does the future hold for the band?
Ideally, in 5 years time we’ll all be sitting on the White House lawn with President
Kanye West, the first Lady Kim and all 18 of their super-powered children, working on
our 16th album.
Realistically though, we’d like to reach out to more fans and release as much of the
best music we can possibly create.
