Katie Nicholas – Dizzy – Album Review:

Following multiple warmly received singles and a handful of superbly edited music videos the long await debut album ‘Dizzy’ from Katie Nicholas is due to be released on March 14th. An impressive collection of ten cleverly penned songs is available as a physical album or alternatively for download as a five-track EP: a clever move that puts them emphasis back on the tangible CD which incidentally has been expertly designed by Katie herself.

Katie's popular country track Chemistry, which also features on the album, reached 100,000 views within 3 days of posting and was impressively made within the confines of her bedroom. This led to picking up a LMA Michael Molloy Youth Music Award sponsored by the Mayor of Liverpool in 2013. The track also reached no.1 in the UK & Irish country chart and 3rd in the European Chart.

Having just performed a set at the prestigious Country to Country festival at the O2 Arena which also hosted huge names such as Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line, Katie is gaining recognition from high places for her efforts.

Alongside progressing her own musical career, Katie has become increasingly involved in aiding other rising artists in their pursuits. Creating the ‘Busy Bee’ music group, Katie offers advice and opportunities to her ‘Unsigned & Self-Sufficient’ peers. Check out her hard-work here.

One thing that’s clear from the album is that it has been meticulously crafted with love and the utmost attention to every slight aspect of its inception. This results in a collective so consistently impeccable it’s only surpassed by the fact this accomplished young lady exerts creative control over all aspects of her music single-handedly. Being so attentive to her art has allowed Katie to grow and mature musically way beyond her years and her continued commitment is reflected in the sheer quality of the work she has produced so far. Seeing Katie develop has been a joy and we’re finally starting to glimpse the bright future ahead of this Busy Bee.
