NEW RELEASE // 'A PACIFIST'S CORNER' THIN-SKINNED
Manchester based Thin-Skinned draw on indie and shoegaze influences to produce their unique, calming, ambient music.
Today marks the release of Thin-Skinned's single 'A Pacifist's Corner'. The track emulates everything that the band pride themselves on. Each instrument has a carefully crafted purpose within the body of the song. The introduction focuses on the virtuosic guitar melody, it welcomes the other instruments as support but is at the forefront. When the vocals are introduced it continues in a calming and relaxed fashion, the vocal melody adds to and compliments the guitar. The instruments take a gradual journey, building up to the introduction of the drums and the climax of the track. The chorus lodges itself in your head and stays there, any listener will surely be singing it way after the song has ended. The entire song has the perfect balance of instruments and their melodies, complimenting each other and working together as a band. The guitar solo toward the end of the song nods to the shoegaze influences that the band notes and as the song draws to an end the guitar and vocals join in their importance, mimicking each other in harmony. It is emotive, haunting and catchy all at once.
