Hopeless Heroic were well on their way to becoming one the UK’s most promising punk rock bands with critically acclaimed releases in 2009 and 2012, a growing fan base of die-hard fans and a record-breaking tour in 2012. It was on their ‘200’ Tour in 2012, a tour that introduced bands such as Press to Meco and Fearless Vampire Killers to the touring scene. After a year of touring the band took a necessary break and in that time their drummer David Knight was diagnosed with a Brain tumour. David gallantly fought the destructive cancer to what looked like a tremendous victory but unfortunately turned out to be a short truce as earlier this year the horrible disease returned. Sadly, in March this year, David passed away while being comforted by his family, friends and Partner.
The band have decided to perform one last show to say their final goodbyes to their beloved drummer and raise money for David’s favourite charity ‘Shine Cancer Support’ who gave David support during his battle with cancer.
Occupying a space of mind far from the stereotypical world of Rock and Roll and egotistical landscape of celebrity culture, Hopeless Heroic are simply 5 inspirational guys who have built something from the ground up and are out to prove to their loyal fans that anything is possible, the pursuit of a dream is worth dying for.
Two years on and a couple of line up changes later Delica Black have found their feet and are making an impression on the London music scene. With the high energy of hardcore and the heavy tech riffs of metal brought together with brutal screams and melodic vocals, the result is some powerful yet melodic post-hardcore sound. Based in London this multinational quartet has rocked some of Londons top rock venues including The Camden Bar Fly, Dublin Castle, Water Rats, Purple Turtle, Hope and Anchor, the Gaff and many more. They are building a strong fanbase and their energetic performances make them stand out from the crowd. Their debut EP, Haircuts in Vegas was produced by Tom Aikenhead of Milk studios who has worked with the likes of (The Kooks, The Maccabees, Lethal Bizzle, Pete Doherty) It is Available now on iTunes, Emusic, Napster and many other download sites. The band have big plans for 2010 with more recordings, many more gigs and a tour in the pipeline. With Chris Watt (vocals), Alix Goode (guitar), Andy Patrick (drums) and Tim Corden (bass). If you're into the likes of Glassjaw, Deftones, Comeback Kid or Thrice these guys are definitely the ones to look out for on the UK music scene.
Hopeless Heroic and Delica Black will be joined by some very special guests on the night, so make sure you're there to raise as much money for those affected by people like David as well as Shine Cancer Support!
