Playmaker

Playmaker are a four piece band with a classic line up of bass, drums, two guitars and two vocals. They mix tunes with power chords and deliver with exactly the right amount of attitude to create an eclectic sound, which is both unique and instantly addictive. BBC Introducing have played The Girl Who Thought She Could Fly, twice this month. The band released their 'Arizona' single through small Indie label Pale Fox – it topped the Storm Radio listeners chart for 5 weeks running. It was also played by Steve Lamacq and Clare Sturgess on XFM. On hearing the single, Crowded House manager Grant Thomas immediately licensed the single via Pale Fox for release in Australia on his Indie label Little Big Music. Their new album The Girl Who Thought She Could Fly was released this year and topped the Loud Up Track Of The Week Chart. “..stirring stuff, I’m sure you agree..” Clare Surgess, XFM “..awesome gig, was totally blown away, looking forward to the next one.” Michelle Oldman, Galaxy Music Radio: Steve Lamacq : Radio 1 Clare Sturgess : XFM Storm Radio Listeners Chart No 1 (5 weeks) playmaker.pm facebook.com/playmakerband @Playmakerband ends

Brixton Alley

Brixton Alley are an exciting, fast paced three-piece who bring a lot of fun and energy to their live shows. Playing a blend of indie rock, pop-punk and rap, you'll be dancing along and singing their songs before you know it!

Hollis Lomax

Hollis Lomax is a new and exciting band from Oxford. The group met at university and each member is drawn from a different musical background, creating an interesting merge of styles from jazz and blues to funk and psychedelia. The group recently released their debut single on Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music, and look forward to releasing more music imminently.

Laure

LAURE, aka 24 year-old Laurence Morgan, is a chameleonic indie pop artist utilising his love of harmony to make multiple clones of himself until it’s far too late. With a musical background highlighted by choral singing, traditional folk tunes and classical composition, what emerges is a mixture of dense, euphoric harmonies and occasionally unorthodox pop song structures, with lyrics steeped in playful honesty and many, many rhymes. A restless desire to avoid complacency, coupled with taking inspiration from whatever he heard last, means you’re never quite sure what you’re going to get from LAURE next – songwriting influences range from Imogen Heap to Carseat Headrest, while material from upcoming releases dip into country, electro-pop and a cappella anthems.

Chris Pidsley

Chris Pidsley is a young singer-songwriter based in London. Playing acoustic based pop and alternative style songs as well as electric guitar lead melodies. Pidsley has played numerous venues around his previous University area of Plymouth including the B-Bar and The Rod and Line to a warm reception. He plays a mixture of his own original material as well as popular covers in his own unique style.

So save the date, add it to your calendar, pin it on your notice board as you won’t want to miss this one.
