Louisa and the Bad Girls are a swing-disco fusion band based in London, made up of an upbeat group of unique and groovy performers.
Begut is a nineteen-year-old singer-songwriter whose sound carries multiple influences; soulful vocals, jazzy arrangements and some hints of the folk music she grew up with. Coming from Zaragoza, located in the North of Spain she always felt a link to music. She wrote her first song when she was twelve, and in 2015 she started to do concerts around her hometown, Zaragoza, which made her gain some local recognition. Since then, the artist has moved to London and continues to pursue her songwriting career: in June 2018 she won the Vinyl Scratch (open mic) competition at Tileyard, London and received mentoring sessions from the head of Big Indie Records. She also got featured on The Lumineers´ Instagram singing her reharmonized version of their song Dead Sea. Her debut single Bittersweet will be released early 2019 and will be followed by her debut EP, that combine the artist´s experiences in the past couple of years and merges her powerful vocals with mellow arrangements.
On a quiet September night in 2017, Jake Frost found himself in an army bunker in the Taiwanese training camp. There and then he wondered why he hadn’t done anything with all the songs he had written. An intention was sent out that moment amongst 160 other cadets sharing the same room, determining to make that right. Growing up with classical piano, music has never been far away in Frost’s life. No matter the location, the age or the influences he was receiving, the desire to create is always present. It came to no surprise when he began writing songs on the out-of-tune piano in his uncle’s home in Peru. After completing NYU and the obligatory army training, Jake Frost has been actively writing and producing music that embodies his queer identity, storytelling skills and personal dramatic flair.
So save the date, add it to your calendar, pin it on your notice board as you won’t want to miss this one.
