PEERLESS PICK OF THE WEEK: THE CLAUSE

Birmingham born The Clause are an alternative indie 4 piece who note influnces such as Catfish and The Bottlemen, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and local heroes from their studio group Jaws and The Twang. Despite the band forming just over a year ago, The Clause have experienced a flood of success and appreciation on Spotify for their singles Sixteen and Golden Age. On the back of this overwhelming support they sold out their headline shows at both the O2 Academy 3 and Sunflower Lounge in their home town and were invited to support The Pigeon Detectives on their 10th anniversary tour at The Institute Birmingham.

With their latest release of 'Tokyo' the band infuse elements of the once so popular genre 'britpop' with a 'stand up and be counted' mentality. Tokyo highlights why this band promises so much with hushed comparisons of Oasis riffs and the melodic vibes of Stone Roses.
