PEERLESS PICK OF THE WEEK: FLOWVERS
FLOWVERS are a four piece indie, dream pop band from Portsmouth. The bands journey began in 2016 as a three piece guitar band and not before long, they were joined by their drummer Connor, who they managed to find after getting kicked out of a house party and discovered he was the perfect fit, and finally, the band was complete!
Having finished runners up in the Wedgewood rooms 2018 Unsigned Showcase, FLOWVERS new wave, indie pop sound resulted in them selling out their first headline show at Edge of The Wedge, which was played at the iconic Icebreaker Festival, alongside being asked to support Black Honey! The band have also secured a slot at Victorious Festival 2018, headlining the Seaside festival stage and will be headlining RISING, a charity event for War Child at the prestigious Camden Assembly in September!
After the bands’ debut single ‘Fresh Air’ was released on Spotify earlier this year, FLOWVERS have released a brand new track titled “A Long Way Home.” This dream pop track blends melodic guitar riffs with atmospheric vocals to create an indie pop tune, pulling in influences from iconic 80’s and 90’s bands such as The Cure and Ride. FLOWVERS want to be "The best thing you have ever heard!"
