WAXING LYRICAL WITH.... CACKLE!

As an integral part of any song, lyrics act a way for artists to divulge their thoughts with listeners, but with so many songs out there, how can you be sure to hear all of these messages?

To grasp these hidden meanings, we have asked CACKLE to showcase some of their favourite, original lyrics and are pleased to feature them as our Waxing Lyrical!

Today’s Waxing Lyrical With CACKLE dives into the lyrics of their song 'PUSH THE BUTTON'.

It's Cackle by name and Cackle by nature for this menacingly fun-loving four-piece from East London. Formed over a heated football debate in the kitchen of a house party, Nick, Harley, Craig and Rich have been smashing angular guitar riffs and catchy hooks together since early 2015.

Feeding off a steady diet of Queens of the Stone Age, Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys and more, Cackle wants music fans to stomp their feet, raise their hands and lose themselves in their big indie sound.

'PUSH THE BUTTON' is about knowing that something is a bad idea but still wanting to do it anyway, even though we don't want to admit it we are often drawn to something we shouldn't be.

Check out the lyrics here:

Oh, one step on the line, think I’m doing just fine, who am I kidding?

Love, These daisy’s and chains, get my head in the game, its not my finest hour

No, cos you knew this was wrong, when you talked out of tone, our bodies approaching

Shame, an adulterous sign, to be lost with some wine, I think I’m still winning somehow

I fear this for good reason, I don’t know what to do

This path leads us to trouble, is it worth it for you?

I’m seeing warning signs, the beacons are red

I wanna push the button

Cos it feels so right

Lost in the haze, I’ve been walking for days, I don’t see it coming

No, these friends of mine, are they there all the time, are intentions clear now?

Though your aces and spades got me throwing away, I keep on rolling

The dice, a gamblers best friend, there till the end, don’t let it slow down

Now

I fear this for good reason, I don’t know what to do

This path leads us to trouble, is it worth it for you

I’m seeing warning signs, the beacons are red

I wanna push the button

Cos it feels so right yeah

It feels so right yeah

And It feels so right yeah

It feels so right yeah
