Jye is a singer songwriter from Brisbane Australia who is currently based in Brighton, UK. With varied influences from artists like Matt Corby and Jeff Buckley to Eminem, Jye’s fusion of genre’s alongside his angelic voice and intricate fingerpicking guitar work, leaves listener’s hypnotised. Magnetising audiences with his smooth falsettos, ambient looping and slap style guitar, Jye put’s his soul on display when ever he steps on stage.

After picking up the guitar at 12, Jye began learning Jack Johnson and John Mayer songs, and soon began obsessively writing song after song until his school books were filled with lyrics rather than math equations. Jye has since gone on to play venues all across Australia and Europe.

In 2015 Jye played ‘Together the People’ festival alongside legends Billy Bragg, Martha Reeves, The Vandellas and Jose Gonzalez. Jye released his debut EP ‘Distance’ in February 2015 which had a great impact in Australia and the UK. Jye Plans to tour the UK and Australia later in 2016 to promote ‘Distance’ and a follow up his yet to be released EP.
