Reed are a three piece folk band with a light dusting of percussive guitar, viola, bass ukulele, flute, whistle and vocals. Alan (guitar/vox) and Sasha (flute,whistle and vox) first met on the Cambridge folk scene over a decade ago. They got back together to play in 2015 before Tom (Viola/bass) joined at the beginning of 2016. Reed combine their own take on traditional tunes with original penned material and songs. They released their debut EP ‘ Maja’s Tree’ in January 2017 and have since had radio play from the following radio shows: Cam FM – 97.2 FM – Radio for Cambridge University and Anglia Ruskin, Strummers & Dreamers , http://www.trevorkruegerfolkshow.com/ ,Brian Player’s Acoustic Cafe Radio Show, Cambridge 105 fm New Music Generator and a review from http://www.fatea-records.co.uk/magazine/reviews/Reed/ Reed will begin to record their first album this September.
