BUZZKILL JOY is a genre-fluid lil punk in pink from Scunthorpe, northern England but based in London.
Starting out live shows in 2024, he went from working in Parliament to a grassroots protest artist
This year he put out his debut EP covering a huge range of hard-hitting topics like ADHD, anxiety, depression, death, politics and society. His hope is to evoke a mix of comfort, rage, motivation and action through a genre-bending sound, provoking lyricism, and energy that will always surprise and give the unexpected. Always 😉
He’s had a bunch of spins on BBC Introducing, including on BBC Radio 1 Introducing Alternative show for my song Tap (The F**k) Out, was shortlisted for Y Not festival, and got through to the live semi-finals of the Isle of Wight festival New Blood competition 2024
Having worked with Scruff of the Neck, Hot Vox, and supporting the likes of King No-One and Ivan & The Parazol, Buzz and his band bring energy and interaction at the live shows that has to be seen to be believed. Drawing on the likes of Kieth Flint, Yungblud, Green Day and MCR, he’ll melt your face off
