Mark your calendars for February 23rd because the duo’s latest song, ‘Sunset Eyes’ comes out on all streaming platforms!

‘Sunset Eyes’ and is about grief and loss, with acceptance ultimately being reached.

“It is a very personal one for us and came following the loss of someone very special to us,” says the alternative rock pair in a statement to Hot Vox.

The music primarily took inspiration from Kings of Leon and ‘Viva La Vida’ era Coldplay, with Bon Iver and Frank Ocean also playing a role into how they structured the end of the track.

“The lyrics to the song almost wrote themselves from 2 perspectives, the verses are from our own perspective, and the choruses are as if the person was calling back to us,” says Matt and Alex Georgiou of Bear Witness, “Leaving the message that ‘they’ll find their way, so stay on a little’.”

Bear Witness are an Electronic Alt Rock duo comprised of Matt and Alex Georgiou based in Brighton.

Since 2018 they have received support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Intro, Total Rock and much more; with many drawn to the duo’s hook-fuelled melodies and monstrous rhythms. Citing Linkin Park, Highly Suspect & The Weeknd as influences, the pair have stated a desire to create rock that pulls from many outside genres.
