Today’s One To Watch is Sunbed by Simone Casarotti

London-based Italian Alt-pop artist Simone Casarotti is making the queer songs he wished he had listened to while growing up. Born and raised in the Italian Venice area, his house filled of Italian pop icons such as Raffaella Carrà, and British bands such as Roxy Music and The Cure.

He now creates a world from his bedroom in London, playing every instrument. His songs explore intimacy, love, and the discovery of queerness with a summer backdrop.

His debut single ‘Magic Boy’ premiered last November on Gay Times and featured a nostalgic sun-soaked music video shot in his native Veneto, Italy. Simone Casarotti is releasing his new upbeat single Sunbed on April 17th.
