With 6 songs to their name, the newly released ‘Painted Red (Wash Me Away)’ joining the rapidly growing collection of bangers, Reading University’s The Stretch are keen for as much action as possible in as many areas as possible. Hitting the Berkshire music scene hard in 2022, The Stretch combine a rapid pace with explosive melodies and grooves which make for any audience member/listener to get involved with their music.
The band are driven by their love for music, moreover, live music, setting a pace that’s unlike anything you’ll hear coming out of the modern music scene. Singer and guitarist Siddy Rich and guitarist Alex Ricardo began forming the band at the start of their university course, with drummer Arjun Thanabalan and bassist Charlie Godden solidifying the final lineup.
The band have been consistently playing gigs in and around the Berkshire area as well as multiple shows in London with notable performances at the O2 Academy Islington as well as making it to the finals of the Hot Vox New Blood competition out of 5000 bands. The Stretch have some huge tunes out that pertain to all audiences.
