Growing up on the East Coast of Australia, absorbing the raw energy of the Aussie live music scene, Chess’s music draws from the sounds of bands such as Radiohead and Nothing but Thieves as well as the emotionality of artists such as Lana del Rey and Jeff Buckley.  Her unique aura and style has been described as ‘pirate-fairy’ and with her whimsical presence she enchants every audience she performs for. Currently based in London, she is a regular performer at the Troubadour and other venues across the city. ​​ She also recently took part this the Hot Vox – RISING charity event for War Child raising over £1100 for children in areas of conflict around the world with her live session.
