HOT VOX showcases some of the freshest emerging artists breaking through onto the scene, but in an industry saturated with new music, how can you cut through the noise?
To separate the best from the rest, we have cherry picked one of our favourite acts and are pleased to have them as our Artist Of The Day.
Today’s Featured Artist Of The Day is Nobody
Nobody was born in Rome and moved to the UK at age 18. Her indie rock intertwines the emotional appetite of adolescence with the maturity and disappointment of the future that has now become the present. She writes about everyday life, dating, human relationships, normal routines immersed in a suspended, humid fog that manifests the need for external, ethereal, angelic help mixed with a bitter realisation of how vain all hope is.
Nobody’s world evokes the bare feelings of an abandoned carousel that probably still occupies a happy space in some people’s memories but in everyone’s eyes is a wreck to be replaced. The influenced from English rock are firm, sharp and dark, contrasting with the anger that shines through, the fury of someone who feels lost, lonely and encompassed by undefined emotions.
Nobody’s much anticipated brand new EP ‘Plastic Funfairs’ perfectly encapsulates the aesthetics of Nobody’s project, blending loneliness, the feeling of being lost and out of place with the search for salvation and the unstable hope of being well. You can be one of the first to hear this EP live if you come to The Fiddlers Elbow on the 14th September
