The self-appointed sovereigns of ‘Soulgaze’, Self-Tape formed in early 2020 in East London by song-writing duo Chris Bennett and Loz Williams. Having spent the last couple of years honing their sound to create a unique blend of indie-psych and blissful disco-infused pop, they have been hitting the London live scene as a glorious 5 piece with their feel good vibes and infectious melodies to brighten your mood in these dark days. Drawing comparisons to Metronomy, Talking Heads and The Beach Boys, they blend sun-kissed pop with a deep love of ’70s disco and soul—soundtracking love, loss, and everything in between.
