The sound combines fuzzy rock guitars, piercing leads and fat basses, ambient synths and chaotic structures, classical piano and modern jazz harmonies inspired by the music of Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock.
Lyrics are often written with a haze of half-dreamed images from the unconscious, bringing to the surface experienced emotions, premonitions and unspoken words.
In trying to find my own unique singing voice, I’ve found that singing in a wide range (with lots of high notes in a clear voice) suits me best. I’ve drawn inspiration from Tom Chaplin, Conor Mason and Brian Molko.
