Born in Seoul, South Korea, Woo Choi is a unique lap steel and Hawaiian guitar player. He seamlessly fuses elements from diverse genres from Country and Electronic to Hawaiian, Flamenco, Tango, and 1990s Korean Pop music. His journey to this sound began with a single country guitar melody by Chet Atkins that metaphorically took him by the hand down an unknown road. The experience created a sense of nostalgia for a place he had never been, sparking a drive to explore the music. After honing his skills, he found his unique voice with the lap steel guitar in 2023. The instrument is now an extension of his world, allowing him to share personal stories and his musical identity with every note.
