Joanna and The Dropouts, formed in 2019, are a Brighton/London- based band blending garage rock, surf, and punk.
Fronted by Joanna with her B52’s/Wanda Jackson-inspired vocals, big curly hair, and baby blue Fender, the group includes her husband Ross on funky bass, Charlotte on keys and backing vocals, and Cheryl on
drums keep everyone in time.
They’ve played iconic venues including The George Tavern and The Prince Albert, supporting acts like Gen and The Degenerates and ARXX. In 2024, they performed at Glastonbury’s Croissant Neuf Stage, with their
track “You’re So Cool” featured on Loud Women’s 2022 compilation album.
