Some tracks are so good that you can’t help but hit repeat again and again. We’re lucky enough to experience that feeling quite often with our talented roster, so we thought it would only be fair to share… Today’s TRACK OF THE DAY is Short Change by Woman Wept!
Woman Wept are a quartet from London, bringing resting-bitch-face punk to any and every stage that will have them. Their signature sound shifts indie melodies into a gritty gear; every guitar lick, angsty lyric, fuzzy bass line, and crashing drums, tastefully crafted to make the patriarchy’s toe’s curl.
Having played iconic London grassroot venues like The Victoria in Dalston, Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, and The Water Rats, their inspiration of indie, punk and riot grrrl bands can be seen in their debut single ‘Short Change’, produced by Black Honey’s Chris Ostler.
Woman Wept have filmed a fundraising live performance video in aid of War Child UK – tune in here to watch the video and donate now!
