Arcane Tongues is a London-based alt-rock project formed in 2023 by singer-songwriter Alvaro Alonso. The project blends gritty riffs with emotional songwriting, taking inspiration from various 90’s alternative rock bands. 

After gaining international airplay with three early singles, they released their 10-track debut album, ‘Third-Degree Burnout’, in July 2025.

The record received praise from indie press outlets. GBHBL called it “all classy tracks that prove… Arcane Tongues have gone the ‘all killer, no filler’ route,” while Musipedia of Metal highlighted how “he’s exorcising demons… using grungy alt rock à la QOTSA… built on tasty guitar hooks that utilise various sounds and styles
