Laena Hughes

We all remember hearing that one song that changed everything we thought we knew about music. Well, we can’t get enough of new music, and ‘Making Waves’ is your guide to the new artists disrupting the scene…

Making Waves today is APHRODITE by LAENA HUGHES

Laena Hughes is a singer/songwriter who creates “sweet and sour” pop for the overstimulated soul. Driven by creative curiosity, she constantly explores new instruments and layers to bring her stories to life. Embracing her introverted nature as a superpower, Laena uses her ukulele to craft the emotional skeleton of her songs. Collaborating closely with her producer, she transforms those four strings into the genre-defying magic she imagines. By layering whimsical, bubblegum-bright melodies over the raw, vulnerable lyrics she creates a safe space for anyone navigating the noise of the modern world.
