Jan quit her job and moved herself and her cat to Cairns when she was hired to sing in a covers rock band, playing to locals and backpackers in Far North Queensland. She began her solo career busking on the streets of Cairns, and ended up homeless when her stubborn ass refused to earn money from anything but music. So she and her cat played all over Australia in her little 4WD until it died. She then struck a deal with a scary (but actually sweet) Russian mechanic for a refurbished 1987 Toyota campervan, with no aircon and no stereo 😩 Now, like most artists with little idea about life or direction, she’s in the UK visiting friends and got lucky with Hot Vox productions. And what a wild ride!
