More energetic than a sackful of crack fuelled terriers and with more hooks than a pirate convention, Rosie are an exciting young band who originate from Pateley Bridge in Yorkshire. Brothers Tommy (Drums) and Louis (Keyboards) Leatherbarrow first met Doug Wallace (Guitar and Vocals) at school and have been playing music together in various incarnations ever since. With the addition of Jaz Asquith (backing vocals), Rosie is the culmination of these collaborations. They pride themselves on writing original, infectiously catchy tunes that you can't help jumping about to and guarantee once you've heard one you will wake up humming it in the morning.
The band released their debut album "Aftaparty" last year and have been gigging round the Yorkshire area, (Leeds, York, Newcastle etc….) plus several successful festival appearances supporting well known bands. They also managed to secure a spot on Radio 1 as the weekly Introducing Band with their single "Midnight".
The band have just finished their music studies at Newcastle University and are presently launching themselves into a full time, full blown assault on the music scene not only in the North East but further afield. Coming to a town near you, so watch this space!
