THE HAPPY HIPPO FAMILY

Swedish Indie-pop band with a modern guitar/synth sound and strong melodies, comparisons can be drawn to The Wombats or The Royal Concept. Add a real crowd-pleasing live show and you’ll have The Happy Hippo Family. In recent years the band have created a buzz after performances and touring in Japan and especially at MIDEM (Cannes, FR) as the only Swedish band to perform at the festival. Of course also some of the biggest venues in Sweden: Bråvallafestivalen, Peace & Love Festival, Debaser and P3 Älskar, to mention a few. Alongside touring the band has released one album in Sweden (Own label) & two albums in Japan (Thistime Records), released a beer in promotion for a single, had viral youtube videos with over 400 000 views. After the band received an award in their hometown Örebro for excellent representation of the city world wide, the band started a Kickstarter campaign for a new album where over 10 000€ was pledged from fans around the world. The album is now finished and everyone in the band agrees, it’s the best result possible.
