The Parkas

About

The Parkas are an energetic 5-piece band from South East England with a fast-growing fan base. The band are fronted by the charismatic lead vocalist Mark Crisp and are backed by the songwriting of younger sibling Paul Crisp. The songs are then tastefully decorated with passionate drumming, intricate lead guitar melodies and colourful bass lines.

The Parkas have played in many places across the UK, including The Cavern Club in Liverpool, Isle of Wight Scooter Festival, the Tunbridge Wells Forum, the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury and the Isle of Wight Festival. Following huge success at the 2014 Isle of Wight Scooter Festival, the band recorded their album ‘In Stereocolour’ later released on the 14th of March 2015.

The band have been described as ‘Modern Mod’, taking past and present sounds to new and exciting areas. Together, The Parkas create a magnificently powerful sound and a memorable performance, making them a must-see act in the live music scene. The recent trip to the Isle of Wight Festival allowed the band to increase their fan base. Upon seeing many influential acts at the festival, the band aspire to become as much of an inspiration to people as their icons are to them.
