Leisure

About

Leisure make electronic pop in Hackney, East London.

In 2015 they released 'Flight' – the lead single from their 3-track EP ‘Falling’ – produced by Scrimshire, well-known for his thriving indie label Wah Wah 45s (Hackney Colliery Band, the Resonators).

A melancholic yet extremely hooky alt-RnB track, ‘Flight’ combines shades of Banks and Jessie Ware, plus the energy of cult 80s band Loose Ends. Leisure’s killer live sound is well-matched by Scrimshire's pristine production, supplying an upbeat, bass heavy vibe as singer Beth Horak-Hallett’s soaring vocals weave a path between plucky synths and sparkling guitars.

They recorded their debut single 'Tourist' in an old dog biscuit factory, House of Strange (First Aid Kit, Summer Camp).

'Tourist' was released in 2013 via independent record label Young & Lost Club (Bastille, Everything Everything, Noah and the Whale):
