Bee Bakare is an acoustic soul pop singer-songwriter based in London, UK. Her music is recognisable by the soulful, rich and warm contralto that features in her sound. Shortly after her first single 'Little Darling', she released a self-titled debut EP in June 2015 in response to request from audiences and supporters at performances (available in digital and CD format). Since her successful EP launch event, she has played gigs in and around Bath, west England, where she studied and lived after originally pursuing a very different career path. She has also performed at various music venues in London, where she is currently touring, and other cities. Her songs are featured on various internet radio stations worldwide. Singing and writing from a young age, her musical influences include the likes of Lauryn Hill, Tracy Chapman and India Arie. Bee also describes growing up being smitten by the big female voices such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and more recently the likes of Josh Stone and Adele. Bee recently released the first single 'Waiting to Happen' from her upcoming EP (2017). The single is currently making waves as "catchy and fresh", a consistent feature in her songs which leave live audiences saying 'wow that voice'. With such undeniable passion and emotion that emanate through her songs and performances, Bee is keen on connecting with people and audiences through heart-felt, though also often upbeat lyrics. She also enjoys putting a smile on people's faces usually through 'bad attempts at being funny' and has confessed to 'an obsessive fondness for the Australian accent'.
