Limor Ballas, 37, from Tel-aviv, is an Israeli singer-songwriter and a poet, graduate of “Rimon”, a school of jazz and contemporary music in Israel.
For the last 9 years, Limor has been performing around Israel and abroad with her original songs, both in solo acts and together with her Israeli ensemble.
Her debut album, “In face of myself”, was released in 2015, consisting of 12 original songs, all written and composed by her.
The album got a warm welcome in the Israeli media and enthusiastic responses from main characters in the music industry in Israel, such as the composer, songwriter, arranger and music producer Kobi Oshrat (composer of “Hallelujha”, the 1979 Eurovision contest winner), who mentioned:
“Limor is a unique, interesting and intelligent artist. Her work combines a strong feminine statement on one hand, with optimism and sense of humor on the other, all performed with warmth and sensitivity”.
Throughout her career, Limor has been performing with her various projects in many music venues in Israel and around the world, including festivals and formal events in Europe (Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia), Africa (Ghana) and 2 large and media covered tours around India.

For her audience outside of Israel, Limor has put together an eclectic and unique show, consisting of her original compositions in Hebrew and in English, alongside special arranges and translations written by her, to known songs in different languages and styles.
In these shows, Ballas shares and explains to the audience what her songs talk about, including translating to English some elected lyrics, and even teaching the audience how to sing in Hebrew. This way, Ballas gets the audience into the atmosphere and meanings of the songs, and helps them to connect to both music and text.

As part of her work, Limor often performs and collaborates with first-rate musicians from Israel and abroad, such as Michel Legrand, the international composer, conductor and music arranger, winner of Oscar and Grammy awards, who invited Limor to sing his songs in his shows in Israel.
